Cauliflower Pizza Crust

Ingredientscauliflower crust

  • 1/2 Head cauliflower
  • 1 Clove garlic
  • 1/2 Cup part skim mozzarella cheese
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Teaspoon basil
  • 1 Teaspoon oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

 

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cut up the cauliflower and steam.  I use the Sistema steamer and microwave for about 7-8 minutes.  Make sure to drain as much water as possible.  Add the cauliflower to a food processor and pulse until a rice like texture.  In a bowl, combine the cauliflower and remaining ingredients and mix well.  Spread the mixture on a LIGHTLY sprayed baking sheet or baking stone (I put my baking stone in the oven while it is preheating as I find food takes longer to cook on a cool stone).  Spread out the mixture to about 1/4″ thickness.  Bake for about 25 minutes or until thoroughly cooked.  Remove the crust from the oven and add toppings of your choice.  Put the pizza back in the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes or until cheese is melted.  Enjoy!
