Stress – Eat – Put on weight – Stress more – eat more – put on more weight is how I lived my life for the past several years. About two years ago I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and elevated blood counts. I was seen by 10 different doctors over the next year. Each one told me they could not find anything wrong with me. My elevated blood counts were “probably stress related.” Finally in September 2011, a major stressor in my life was resolved. I had no more excuses. Something had to change.
I had spent the last decade (or more) giving 100% of myself to my children, my students, my patients and others with very little in return, except for my children. There was nothing left of me, for me. Brian and Cathie showed me I could take one half hour of my time, three times a week; invest it in myself and not have my children or I suffer for it. As a matter of fact, the opposite has occurred. I have reconnected with more people, had more fun and enjoyed my life more in the past 6 months that I have in the past 12 years combined! I was also released from the last doctor that was following me as my blood counts have continued to return to normal levels. Thank you Brian and Cathie!!!!
